Oak offers carbon emission balancing to all employees combating environmental issues

Becoming leaders in Sustainable Finance

Oak Group is a purpose-led financial services business committed to sustainable business practices such as, carbon footprint reduction, environmental responsibility, and ethical business practices. As part of our commitment to these values, we are excited to announce that we are the first business to offer full personal carbon balancing for our people, across every jurisdiction, through the Durrell Rewild Carbon project.

We recognise that our industry has a significant impact on the environment, and we are committed to doing our part to mitigate that impact. That's why we are constantly exploring new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and operate in a more sustainable manner.

Using scientific data for the United Kingdom, we baselined an average carbon footprint for our people and develop a carbon balancing option for our people through the Durrell Rewild Carbon project. This project is a pioneering environmental initiative that aims to restore damaged ecosystems and protect endangered species around the world. Durrell’s initiative only helps to reduce the carbon in the atmosphere but also contributes to the restoration of our planet's natural habitats, promoting biodiversity and supporting the livelihoods of local communities.

We believe that sustainability is not just a buzzword but a vital component of responsible business practices that are essential for the long-term success of both our company and our clients. James Tracey, Head of Sustainability said:

"I am thrilled to announce that we have signed up to the Durrell Rewild Carbon project. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable business practices, and this partnership is just one of the ways we are working towards this goal."
