Oak supports Durrell's Rewild programme as part of 25th anniversary celebration

Last week, on 7 March 2024, we held our third 25 year anniversary celebration at Durrell Zoo in Jersey. We welcomed industry partners and clients as we heard from Graeme Dick, Head of Zoo Operations on their Rewild programme; Durrell's impactful carbon balancing programme

It was great to hear how the programme has already made a positive impact on the environment in which the zoo operates as well as how Oak has contributed to the successful initiative.

Durrell’s initial Rewild Carbon initiative is located in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, where they are working to restore forest corridors to provide critical connections for wildlife. Despite being one of the most biodiverse habitats on Earth, only 6% of the Atlantic Forest remains intact.

We look forward to hearing of further developments in the programme and the positive impact it will have on our communities.
