August 11, 2020 Oak Appreciates Key Health Workers

Every member of the Oak team is committed to ensuring the Group plays an important role in communities across our operational jurisdictions through our sponsorship and charity initiatives.

"Oak appreciates key health workers” is a new initiative set up by Oak Group to support frontline healthcare workers.

Throughout the month of May, Team Oak dedicated every moment of their exercise routines to honouring and celebrating healthcare workers fighting against COVID-19. For each minute spent running, cycling, swimming, skipping and more, Oak made a financial contribution and at the end of a four-week long initiative, our teams racked up an impressive 67,540 minutes and a total of £6,754 in cash contribution.

Seven worthy causes nominated by our regional offices have benefitted, to include:

• Les Bourgs Hospice, Guernsey
• Parkinsons UK
• Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Jersey
• St John Ambulance Service, Isle of Man
• Friends of Nobles Hospital, Isle of Man
• Puttinu Cares Foundation, Malta
• i61 Foundation, Mauritius
