Throughout the week, a soup kitchen was organised with the aim of raising money for Bowel Cancer Guernsey. The homecooked meals also provided a great atmosphere for employees to sit and enjoy lunch together.
On Wednesday, Anne Brouard, chairwoman of Bowel Cancer Guernsey, and Diane Mathews, Strategic Screening Lead at States of Guernsey led an interactive awareness training session for all Oak employees in the four jurisdictions. This session has been recorded and is available internally for ongoing education.
In addition to these activities, healthy recipes recommended by Bowel Cancer Guernsey were shared, encouraging employees to adopt healthier eating habits. The week concluded with a fundraising event for Loud Tie Day, adding a fun and colourful end to our awareness activities.
We are proud to announce that through these efforts, we raised a total of £566 for Bowel Cancer Guernsey. Oak remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote health and wellbeing within our community.
