Oak in Jersey was proud to support the inaugural 13th Parish Film Festival as a festival angel.
The new festival is a celebration of independent filmmaking and music and aims to foster a sustainable artistic community that links the Channel Islands to the international film and music scenes.
The event was held in the Jersey Arts Centre in May and attracted an enthusiastic crowd over a weekend.
The festival presented a diverse range of new independent films from around the world including international short films, documentaries and features.
Nicola Gott, Managing Director of Oak in Jersey, said:
“The 13th Parish Film Festival is a fantastic initiative which will help to highlight local talent, in both film and music. Oak was very pleased to support the new event and we look forward to its return in 2020.”
There were three categories for the festival’s inaugural awards including the Pomme D’Or Award for Best Short Film, the Jenny Lecoat Screenwriting Award and the ‘Opening Shots’ mobile phone filmmaking competition.
