Oak has been announced as the inaugural corporate partner of St John Ambulance Jersey.
We kicked off our relationship with the charity by sponsoring the recent ‘Be a Life-Saving Knight’ art competition launched in celebration of St John’s Day to raise awareness of the charity’s work on the island.
Entries were judged by a VIP panel which included the Patron of St John Ambulance Jersey, His Excellency Lt Governor, Sir Stephen and Lady Dalton, and the President of St John Ambulance Jersey, Diana Mossop, alongside Oak Jersey managing director, Nicola Gott.
“Raising awareness of the vital work of St John Ambulance Jersey to younger Islanders proved to be a popular activity and we were delighted to receive so many entries,” said Barry Marsden, chief executive of St John Ambulance. “We were delighted to be partnering with the team at Oak Group, who generously provided such super prizes, supporting not just St John Ambulance charity but also our friends at Durrell too. We are excited to announce that Oak Group has also kindly agreed to sponsor our new advertising campaign and join us on our soon-to-be-launched partner programme.”
Nicola Gott, MD of Oak Jersey, said: “In these unusual times it is important to continue to focus our attention on our corporate social responsibilities. St John Ambulance is a fantastic charity and we are proud to work with the team, supporting their efforts to promote training courses and services in Jersey. We look forward to the start of this exciting relationship and to put our shared vision into action by serving the community and helping organisations, charities and schools in ensuring people learn first aid.”
