December 2, 2022 Oak colleagues support the ‘Beard up’ movement!
See how our colleagues did in support of MUG’s Beard Up this November
Male Uprising in Guernsey (MUG), a Foundation that aims to increase awareness and education of male cancers and to help those who are affected by prostate, bowel and testicular cancer. This November, a charity close to Oak's heart is bringing back its popular event, encouraging men to embrace their facial hair and skip the morning shave for a month.
With prostate cancer accounting for 26% of all new male cancers in the UK 2017, our colleagues in Jersey, Guernsey, and Mauritius wanted to support this fantastic cause which raised £250. MUG's goal is to generate funds for and create awareness of male cancers in Guernsey. All of the funds raised will be used to help MUG achieve this goal.
