Christian Cowley

With over 22 years of experience in financial services, Christian has significant experience leading growth strategies, developing new businesses, business change and integration, as well as financial and business management for companies in multiple jurisdictions, industries, and sizes. ​

Christian has held various senior operational and finance roles, including Head of Operational Management and a member of Barclays Private Clients International Executive Committee, Head of Finance for a payroll and business processing and outsourcing provider and as a Director of a local accountancy practice. For the past 7 years Christian has been a director of Oak Group (IOM) Limited and is the Head of Finance for Oak in the Isle of Man. ​

Outside of work ​

Christian is a Trustee and Treasurer on two charities – Manx Miracles (providing support to Manx children with special needs to reach their potential) and the Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society (whose aim is the advancement of knowledge of natural history and human history and cultural development, especially in the Isle of Man and related countries). ​

Christian is a family man who can be found ferrying his three children to dance, swimming, netball, and hockey clubs, as well as coaching in the IOM Hockey scene as a qualified hockey coach, coaching junior players, and umpiring in local leagues. ​
